Naval Station Newport will host a “Salute To Summer” featuring a Free Concert and Fireworks Show

Naval Station Newport has announced a “Salute to Summer”,  featuring a Free Concert & Fireworks Show Saturday, August 29th on Dewey Field.

The event is open to the Public.

5pm – Changes In Latitudes
7pm – Navy Band Northeast
Fireworks at Dusk

(There will be a kids area, concessions, dance demos by Floor Time Studios)

2pm-  Dewey Field gates open for DoD/Military card holders
4pm –  Gate One opens for general public pedestrians to walk on

Coolers, glass bottles, pets, outside food & drinks, banners or signs of any type, firearms, forms of defensive sprays or chemicals, illegal drugs or paraphernalia, drones or weapons are NOT allowed. Strollers and small bags such as diaper bags, backpacks or handbags are permitted, however, will be subject to search.

Guests should be prepared to present a picture I.D. upon entry to the base.

Parking is available inside the Naval Health Clinic New England parking lot off of Third Street for guests who do not have Department of Defense Identification Cards. Handicap parking is available at Pass & ID (before Gate One) with golf cart shuttles to Dewey Field.

Gate Two is open 24/7 and Gate 17 will be open 1500-1800 & 2130-2300 for guests with Department of Defense Identification Cards

Officers’ Club Deck Premiere Seating & Parking available for guests with Department of Defense Identification Cards for $10 each. Purchase at the O’Club by close of business on Friday, info: (401) 841-1442
