Newport Buzz Emergency Broadcasting System: We have a missing kitty on the loose in Newport

UPDATE: once again you guys prove to be the best audience ever. The fugitive has been apprehended and is back in custody!

REWARD – Alright folks we have a missing cat on the loose in the Red Cross/Old Beach Road area. There is a report that she was seen in the middle of the road on Ayrault Street around 5:30am Saturday and she looked disoriented.

Her name is Aurelie. She has been missing since early Saturday morning. She’s an 18-year-old, 6lbs, black and white Persian. So what I’m going to need from everyone in Newport is to drop everything you’re doing at this exact moment and hit the streets looking!

Aurelie is an indoor cat who has NEVER been outside on her own.

Our fugitive has been on the run for 18 hours. Average foot speed over uneven ground barring injuries is 4 miles-per-hour. That gives us a radius umm, a lot! (not good). What I want out of each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse, boathouse, gatehouse and doghouse in that area. Checkpoints go up every 30 miles miles.

Your fugitive’s name is Aurelie. Go get her!

Please call 401.559.6647 when spotted or found.

And GOOO!!!!

PS – She is super sweet and loving. She’s a total fraidy cat.
