Newport Folk wins Music Festival of the Year at the 30th Annual Pollstar Awards

The Newport Folk Festival was named music festival of the year (under 30,000 attendance) Wednesday at the 30th Annual Pollstar Awards, which are essentially the Grammys of the concert industry.

So we won our category for BEST AMERICAN MUSIC FESTIVAL last night while I was on a plane coming back from fundraising for our foundation. Of course I’m so proud of our team our fans and our artists… but a special shoutout goes to Laura from @lagunitasbeer who did her best Price is Right “come on down!” impression to accept on our behalf. What she said meant a lot but it also exemplifies how even our beer partner gets what it means to be #folkfamily #trust

The other nominees were: The Hangout Beach, Music & Arts Festival | Gulf Shores, AL – Desert Daze | Lake Perris, CA – Forecastle | Louisville, KY – Moon River | Chattanooga, TN and The Ohana Fest | Dana Point, CA.

The sold-out 2019 Newport Folk Festival will take place from July 26th – 28th at Fort Adams State Park.
