The Powerball jackpot has grown to a record $900 million just hours ahead of Saturday night’s drawing.
The lucky winner will take home an estimated $558 million if they choose a lump-sum cash prize. If no one wins the jackpot tonight, the prize for the next drawing on Wednesday will reach $1.3 billion.
The current jackpot has been growing since November 7 and there have been 18 drawings without a winner. The Jan. 6 drawing had one $2 million winner and 14 winners of $1 million.
Powerball is sold in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The odds of winning are 1 in 292 million.
