Ortiz who will have spent 19 years in the big leagues, 13 with the Boston Red Sox, will be forever remembered for his clutch hitting and his post season heroics.
His walk off home run in 2004 against the Yankees to spur their impossible comeback from 3 games down.
Or his game tying grand slam in the 2013 ALCS…
And who could forget his speech just after the Boston Marathon bombings? Who’s city is this, Papi?
