Rhode Island Is Closing 66% Of Polling Places For Our April 26th Presidential Primary

Hey Rhode Island, get ready for long lines if you want to vote next Tuesday.

In a presidential primary season that has seen unprecedented turnout nationwide, the Rhode Island Board of Elections has announced, in their infinite wisdom, that they will only open 144 of our 419 available polling locations (33%)  for next week’s April 26th presidential primary as a cost cutting measure.

Oh and also this, the Rhode Island Board of Elections’ executive director Robert Kando is currently serving his second unpaid suspension this year for failing to take management courses and won’t be working that day.

Nothing to see here folks, just business as usual in Rhode Island.

To find out where you’ll be voting this year, visit the RI Secretary of State’s website and punch in your info.
