Louis J. Krzych Jr, 55, of Portsmouth, passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 8th, 2018 after battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). He was born in Passaic, NJ, graduated from Garfield High School then went on to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University. Lou worked for several telecommunications companies in Arizona and Massachusetts before being employed at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI. An avid Sun Devils fan, he enjoyed golf, hiking, and camping. He also enjoyed cooking for his family and helping coach his daughters’ soccer teams. His main focus has always been his family.
Lou is the son of the late Louis J. Sr. and the late Regina (Watroba) Krzych. He is survived by his wife Maja (Savic), daughters Marisa and Maci, brother Matthew, sister-in-law Deborah Krzych, nephew Hayden and niece Madelyn. And his dog Daisy.
Lou will always be remembered for his positive outlook on life, sense of humor, and love for his family. Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 14 from 4:00-7:00pm at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, February 15 at St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
