The 1916 Centennial Remembrance Committee to Commemorate the Easter Rising

The Easter Rising of 1916 Centennial Remembrance Committee of Rhode Island will hold a multi-media historical presentation to commemorate the signers of the 1916 Easter Proclamation at the Ancient Order of Hibernian Hall, 2 Wellington Avenue, on Sunday, October 18th at 3pm.

The Tribute will include biographies of the seven signers of the 1916 Proclamation of Independence, historical footage from Easter Week 1916, and historically appropriate live musical performances and readings.

Music will be performed by local Irish musicians Tim May, A.O. Gutierrez, Donal Lehane and the Ancient Order of Hibernian Mens Singers. Local actor, Mike Healy will recite the Proclamation and read historically related poetry.

Reservations are requested so they may plan for sufficient seating and refreshments.
