The Twin River Casino Management Group in Lincoln has completed it’s purchase of the Newport Grand Slots parlor on Admiral Kalbfus Road and has plans to move the casino, its 160 jobs and it’s tax dollars from Newport to Tiverton.
Twin River Chairman John Taylor said they will present a plan to the Tiverton Town Council this November in hopes of receiving approval of voters in the November 2016 General Election.
Taylor believes they will contribute $4 million annually to the Tiverton Town budget.
Terms of the Newport Grand purchase were not disclosed.
