Portsmouth Police have released the names of the adult victims involved in the multi-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on West Main Road in Portsmouth.
A Chevrolet Suburban driven by Billy Dodd, 54, of Portsmouth, was traveling north on West Main Road near King Charles Road when it crossed the center line and sideswiped a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jonathan Barretto, 33, also of Portsmouth. Dodd sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
Dodd’s Suburban then collided head-on with a Nissan Altima driven by Bryan Babcock, 45, of Middletown, with a 13-year-old and 16-year-old passenger. All three suffered life threatening injuries with Babcock being transported by helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital. The teens were transported to at Hasbro Children’s Hospital for treatment.
The accident remains under investigation.
