Former Yankees and Red Sox star Johnny Damon and his wife were both arrested following a traffic stop in Florida and the video is wild!
Damon and his wife were pulled over at around 1:23 a.m. on February 19th in Windermere, Florida after cops say he was swerving on the road and driving erratically. Damon was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol and being nearly four times the legal limit while his wife was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence.
In the footage of Damon’s arrest, he is seen slurring his words as he explains his support for Blue Lives Matter and being targeted for his support of Trump.
Damon said: “Hey, bro, I’m a good fucking guy. I know people are trying to target me because I’m a Trump supporter.” He also adds: “Believe me, I am Blue Lives Matter… What are you doing right now? We are all for cops. Guys, we are all for cops.”
“I’m a Trump fan ever since I met him seven or eight years ago. Everything he does, he does first-class — his hotels, his businesses, his golf courses. The issues all the other politicians failed to discuss, (Trump) is bringing us up to speed,” he told The New York Daily News in 2016.
Damon is due back in court in May.
