Talk about sacrificing your body to make the play! Major props to this young ball kid who left it all on the court while shagging down an errant shot during the French Open!
Talk about a collision course. ?@DzumhurDamir collides with ball boy during match. #RG18 pic.twitter.com/M5xHLxMlMK

Nothing but respect for this kid. I remember being a ball boy at The International Tennis Hall of Fame as a kid and I would have killed to make a play like this. Basically all you do and run back and forth all day and underhand whip balls up the baseline. Can you imagine having this play? Pop fly to center field and the opportunity to make a Willie Mays over the shoulder catch in front of a huge crowd?!?!? That’s the stuff legends are made of. Good job kid, leave it all on the field!!!
And for those of you who live for the rough and tumble sport of tennis, tickets are now on sale for the Hall of Fame Open in Newport!
PS – Shout out to 12 year-old me for not colliding with Chris Evert-Llyod when I was her ball boy!
PPS – The kid lived!
