Maximilian Ringseisen, 44, of Newport, RI, passed Maximilian Ringseisen, 44, of Newport, RI, passed away on March 9, 2026, in Middletown, RI. Maximilian was born in Madison, Ohio, to Jean-Charles Maximilian Ringseisen and Margaret “Maggie” Hayes on November 11, 1981. He grew up in Old Orchard Beach, ME, and attended both Old Orchard Beach High School and Rogers High School in Newport. At just 16, Max achieved a perfect score of 1600 on his SATs at Rogers High School. He was naturally brilliant, with a keen intellect and photographic memory, but not a fan of formal education. Max later worked as a server and bartender at many establishments in Newport, including the Clarke Cooke House and as a glass blower at Thames Street Glass. He enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle, and maintained an extensive social group. Max is survived by his sister, LivAline Leddy Ringseisen of North Kingstown, RI, and his father, Jean-Charles Maximilian Ringseisen of Southwest Harbor, ME. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Hayes; his stepfather, Edwin Booth; and his stepmother, Diane Ringseisen. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 15th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the O’Neill-Hayes Funeral Home, 465 Spring St, Newport. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Max’s memory may be made to YANA of Newport County, https://yananewport.com/donate/. #newportri #newportbuzz
