Dorian Murray, the Westerly boy who captured the eyes and indeed the hearts of the world with his dying wish to be famous and incredible bravery, has passed away at eight-years-old after a heroic four-year battle with cancer.
#D-Strong, as he’s known the around the world, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family.
Dorian’s family put out a statement late Tuesday night:
“It is not length of life, but depth of life.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
A foundation has been set up in Dorian’s name. The Dorian J. Murray Foundation will bring awareness to childhood cancer by providing support to families dealing with pediatric cancer.
If you would like to donate to the foundation before the website is fully up and running, you can do so by making checks out to the Dorian J. Murray Foundation – PO Box 1225 – Westerly, RI 02891.
Rest in peace, young man. You’ve done more than your fair share to make this world better a place. God bless you…
