RIP Ron Viveiros

 

Ronald “Voo” Viveiros, age 63, of Newport died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. Ronald was born August 6, 1952 in Fall River, MA. He is the son of the late Louis and the late Ethel (Rosa) Viveiros. He is the husband of Lynn (Duchesneau) Viveiros.

Ronald graduated from Rogers High School in 1971. After high school he went to work for Coca Cola Bottling Company in Newport and later in New London, CT. Ronald then went on to work for the Middletown School Department where he retired in 2012 after 25 years. More recently, he worked for Salve Regina University as a shuttle driver. Among the various organizations he generously donated his time to include his high school reunion, the Aquidneck Island Police Parade and various youth sports organizations. Ronald was a volunteer for the Dr. John R. Costello Open golf tournament for over 30 years. He was always willing to lend a hand and will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lynn (Duchesneau) Viveiros of Newport, his children Lisa Faye Tedeschi of NH, Matthew Viveiros of Newport, his siblings Louis Viveiros Jr. of Portsmouth, George Viveiros, Elizabeth Viveiros, and Anna Viveiros, all of Newport, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Louise Smith.

Calling hours will be Sunday, November 15 from 3:00-6:00 pm in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. Burial will be private.
