Join us Wednesday, September 19th from 6:00pm – 8:30pm at a private Newport home for an unforgettable evening of Italian arias benefiting the Newport Performing Arts Center at the Opera House. This is an exclusive event featuring Italian wine, Caviar, Formaggio and Cocktails followed by a performance by Ms. Greta Feeney.
Ms. Feeney studied at the Julliard School and is an American opera singer and recitalist, specializing in soprano and coloratura mezzo-soprano repertoire of the 17th and early 18th century. Praised by audiences and critics alike for a uniquely beautiful vocal timbre and impeccable musicianship, Ms. Feeney made her international concert debut at the age of 21 with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (Gabriel and Eve in Haydn’s Creation), and her professional operatic debut at the age of 24 with the San Francisco Opera (Jano in Jenufa).
The Newport Performing Arts Center is currently restoring the historic Opera House Theater, Rhode Island’s oldest surviving theater built in 1867, located in Newport’s Washington Square. When open, the theater will be a 21st-century state-of-the -art venue that will be a beacon of culture and entertainment – featuring all genres of music, dance, theater and much more – for locals and visitors alike to enjoy!
